That's a shame. I really want to see some of these neighborhoods revived and safe. Austin has some beautiful homes in it, especially as you get closer to Oak Park. But it's so fucking violent. :/ It'd be a huge risk to live there/invest there, but it could be worth it if more people join in. Oak Park used to be bad too but it turned around, from what I hear. --- These people are literally ignorant of the law. It's astounding.
