However, according to them in the initial interview I was supposed to be hired on full time after 6 months... 11 months in and they just keep extending my contract. The government job would be a full time position and about $15k more pay. Cost of living in San Antonio is less than it is in Austin, so I'd be benefiting on multiple fronts assuming I get the job. More pay Less living expenses Full time position Federal benefits Then yes it's the congress pissing match holding it up. I dont know if I'd want to work for the feds but it's pretty much a job for life as long as you don't break the law, of course great benefits too.
