TopicOut of four Mass Effect games we've had zero decent inventory systems

ME1 - Clusterfuck inventory where you get overloaded with loot and doesn't sort properly and you can't properly compare with other characters without exiting the interface and re-enter from another squadmate's locker

ME2 - Bioware: Oh you didn't like our inventory system? Well then you can't have any!

Literally no items other than weapons, which don't even have stats in the loadout screen and since you can't be equipped with more than one of each type of weapons it's incredibly hard to compare say two pistols as encounters don't repeat.

ME3 - Game sidequests relies heavily on acquiring and delivering key items, but there's no key item inventory to see which key items you have on you and you can't check if something is already picked up. Much better weapon inventory than 2, though. You can actually compare weapons statwise. But you still can't even see your inventory outside of loadout (or dress/armor equipment) screens

Andromeda - Is closest to the ME1 system and it's a complete shitshow. So many things to keep track of. If you want to buy new weapons mods you have to check your loadout screen because mods already equipped to your weapons don't show up in your inventory so you can't compare.
And when you're equipping mods the game doesn't tell you which mod is equipped to which slot, it only gives you a picture (which is not a 100% match to the picture when you're selecting the mods for some fucked up reason) so it's this semi guess work if I want to equip Mod X instead of Mod A, but I pick the wrong slot to equip X to so it has equipped in place of Mod B instead of Mod A, so then I have to re-equip Mod B and then find the correct Mod slot where A is equipped, but I think some weapons can have up to 5 mod slots.
And if you're crafting new weapons the comparison to your current equipment compares the equipment WITH the mod bonuses versus the newly crafted piece without any mod bonuses, so it's effectively a useless feature and you're half shooting in the dark, unless of course you're just crafting a higher level version of the already equipped gun as it gives flat out improvements.
And when you're crafting stuff if you are missing a few materials then you have to exit the crafting interface and move to the shop interface that's 20 centimeters away instead of just having a quick button. But shop stock arealso randomly generated so maybe you need to reset the room over and over again until you get the right stuff on offer, which is tedious as all balls. Plus the inventory tab on the menu, like all my fucking tabs is bugged and says theres new stuff in the inventory even though there isn't. Makes for an obnoxious aesthetic experience.

What's wrong with you, Bioware?
