American history post WW2 1945 to 1962 General WW2 celebration 1962ish to 1973: Cuban Missile Crisis in late 62, JFK and MLK assassinations in 1963 1973 to early 80s: Nixon opens trade with China (not the only factor to outsourcing but probably the biggest government factor), economy starting to significantly be hit by outsourcing (especially rust belt) Early 80s to 1989: Personal computer ushers in new era of processing. 1989 to 2001: Berlin Wall falls, 90s "vacation decade" 2001 to 2007: 9/11 immediate aftermath late 06/2007/2008 to 2016: Financial markets collapse, Centralized internet 2015/2016 - present: Brexit, most atrocious election season occurs due to social media (on both sides), new era of fear based society.
