First sounding educated =/= sounding white though. Plenty of black people are plenty educated and are articulate but still sound black. I know you are referring to ebonics, but "sounding black", at least in America, is much closer to an accent than simply mispronouncing words.

And second, by that logic, if you are judging it based on a General American accent. Pretty much everyone in Great Britain doesn't speak professionally as London, Yorkshire, Welsh, Irish, Scottish, Geordie etc. accents pronounce most vowel sounds differently than American, and thus by your logic must sound uneducated and speaking like an idiot. Not to mention southern accents or New York accents or Boston accents or Cajun accents etc. etc.

Do tell me how black people sound.

People sound like their peers, there isn't a black voice box distinct to people of african decent. Ebonics or talking like a chav sounds very uneducated and anybody who intends to present themselves as educated drops all the tacky colloquialisms that stem from a lack of vocabulary when in a professional setting.

B t dubs, I speak using received pronounciation as that is the closest you can really get to clear, unfettled English and every professional regardless of origin tries to do this whether from England, Ohio, New York, Tennessee or Hong Kong.

I find it very unnerving you try to associate bad speaking habits with race like black people aren't capable of sounding professional.
