This sort of behavior is not going to get better unless you sit down and talk about it and make sure both of you lay out your feelings on these issues completely. It looks like you already did that, so the only real option left is to weigh if this is worthwhile and remembering that things like this tend to get worse as people get more comfortable with each other and become less worried about pleasing their partner. There are no tricks or clever plans or anything to get it to work. Either you keep it inside and let the resentment build up, or you find a partner that is much more compatible with you and your life.
