That's probably not how it's going to work, though. For specific sites, they're more likely to shake down the website than the consumer. The basis of the previous argument iirc was that sites like Hulu would be given priority treatment because they would pay kickbacks where other lesser-known sites would be deliberately throttled. Even if they were going to try to charge the consumer directly, other providers would simply appear and undercut them.

Images like the one you provided are just scare tactics, propaganda to overstate the case so as to fearmonger. While prioritization isn't great for free speech, it hypothetically *could* benefit consumers of certain popular services even if others would be harmed.

Wouldn't make any difference at this point. Republicans control both houses and a Republican is in control of the FCC.
