TopicArby's unveils new half pound beef sandwiches

Won't make sense still. Here is why.

They already have the Max sandwich which is 7 ounces for $5.

They also have 3 regular roast beef sandwiches on constant sale for $5.25 (probably varies a bit in different areas but it's about that).

Each regular roast beef sandwich is SUPPOSED to have 3 ounces.

It doesn't always though, but we'll go with 3 ounces anyway.

Obviously it's better to get 3 regular then 1 max.

It has the additional advantage of having the smaller buns, so you can take the roast beef from the 3rd sandwich and split it between the other two, giving you almost 5 ounces on each regular bun (much better bun to roast beef ratio then the Max.)

So yeah, half a pound, 8 ounces, is one more ounce then the current max AND one less ounce then the current 3 regulars for $5 deal.

If they charge more then $5 you would be crazy to purchase it.

Also, they are sorta forced to be at least close to the 3 ounces on a regular (although they have been known to put as little as 2 ounces on it). The larger the sandwich the more wiggle room they have, meaning they could easily give you 6 ounces on a half pound sandwich instead of 8 and it would be hard to tell.

If they give you 2 ounces instead of 3, you can tell pretty easily on a regular.

So yeah, not really anything new here, the max was already pretty much the same thing, for $5, but wasn't a good deal anyway.
