His battle precognition allows him to accurately hit even high speed objects up to 4 km away. And Vergil closing with him is no problem. The guy likes melee combat just as much as ranged. He killed Berserker in melee combat, multiple times. That's the thing though. I think Archer could potentially hurt the Arwing... but that's not happening with Vergil here. Vergil closes gaps instantly, and isn't going to let Archer just sit there and shoot good 'ol Kirb from a distance.
