This isn't happening to people with private headers.

Woah, never knew this existed. Wonder if I should do the steps to get this since I do have a powersave and all but I should just be fine with a separate 3DS right?

I dunno the process behind it, was just reading the gbatemp thread and that's what people were saying.

Ah. Thanks for the info anyways.

Apparently people who had "Sending of system information to Nintendo" disabled aren't getting banned. What kind of dumbass would leave that enabled, though?

There's also the part of the friends list where it shows your "currently playing" and "favorite" games unless you have it hidden, and if one of those is a questionable game/app, that could probably trigger a ban as well. Then again, I've seen some people who did have those disabled still reporting that they got banned, so who knows at this point? There's still a lot of things we don't know at this point.

I would figure the small number of people who had both disabled and still got banned were doing other things like hacking Pokemon or cheating online.

Hacking Pokemon is one of the safest things you can do. Any non homebrewer can do it with a powersave and be 100% safe. It's kind of implied Gamefreak is even working with Datel since Datel didn't release the codes last gen for event mons until they were officially revealed which they have no reason to do otherwise.
