Day 5

As Larry ran through the jungle with his clan of primate subordinates the rising sun casts its light onto the massive pyramid that rose high above the jungle trees. Larry was set aback when he saw the giant structure. He had know idea that the people who had attacked him were so advanced. As he slowed down and gazed at the pyramid the gorillas continued to run towards it at full speed. Hakchu turned his head and grunted at him encouraging him to keep leading the apes onward. They seemed familiar with this area and did not hesitate when approaching the massive pyramid so he felt confident in exacting revenge for his fallen comrades.

As they approached the city walls they heard guards crying out loudly, alerting the village that it was under attack. Several spearmen began to line across the tall city walls. The gate that they were approaching was shut but that would not deter them. Larry raised his sword up high and growled loudly inspiring his troops to scream out in a frenzy as they prepared for battle. The guards started throwing their spears. Larry dodged out of the way but two of the apes were not so fortunate and fell under the barrage of spears. Before he could even attempt to think out a plan Hakchu jumped at the wall and started climbing up the tangled roots that covered the side. Several spears were thrown at the immense ape. Many he managed to slap away, while those that did make contact with him barely slowed him down. Larry watched in awe as the rest of his army followed suit and started climbing the wall. Before the guards to react to the rest of the apes ascending Hakchu reached the top of the wall and began knocking down and throwing the small guards like they were nothing to him. Larry started to climb up himself. He hoped that the apes didn’t look down on him for his weak climbing abilities compared to theirs but as he looked up they were all too busy decimating the villages defenses.

Larry made it to the top and found himself surrounded by the wrecked and mangled bodies of the guards, the apes had already dropped down to the village below and a unit of guards with swords and spears were running toward them to protect their city. Larry quickly scrambled down a ladder so that he could join in the battle. As they clashed several of the small guards went flying through the air from the apes tremendous strength but they were all taking damage from the constant barrage of weapons that were being used to attack them. The tribal guards might be small and weak compared to Larry’s gorilla army, but they were many and definitely had the advantage of their weapons. Larry wasted no time. As soon as he caught up to the fray he sliced his sword through a tribesman’s back and immediately thrust it into the abdomen of another. The guards backed away from the shining sword almost as though they feared the light it produced. Larry used this to his advantage as he held it high overhead and let out a primal yell which through the apes into a frenzy. Although wounded and bloodied the mighty apes tore into the guards relentlessly.
