So that is true, but you can argue we are oppressed in certain ways depending...I wouldn't say anyone is really an oppressed person in the us, for the most part. Poverty isn't oppression btw and being jailed is, but there are some other factors involved and many people should be oppressed for certain crimes. Actually I would say non violent offenders are a specifically oppressed group.


Just in case it wasn't clear, those two groups are the basis for a lot of claims of discrimination involving black people. I really don't want to meander around explaining oppression of the poor because yes, at the end of the day, it's no so simple as they are or aren't oppressed.
