Right now I have an iPhone 7, which I think is great besides the lack of a headphone jack.

stupid anecdote:

yesterday i wanted to check some photos on my old smartphones, so i turned on my iPhone 5S and Galaxy S6 Edge (after plugging them in and charging them a bit because they were both dead).

the iPhone booted up very quickly, I got hit with a bunch of notifications, and then within like 2 or 3 minutes I was able to navigate the phone quickly and get to what I needed to do.

the S6 took a solid 15 minutes to boot up and be usable, and even then it was so slow that there was like a 1 or 2 second delay from when I clicked on shit and when it actually opened. I got hit with notifications too but it took forever for a lot to come through and half my apps wouldn't even work, just crashing upon opening (when I tried playing with the phone). What's even funnier is that I had the S6 plugged into the Samsung quick charger, and it actually lost a significant amount of battery life while I was trying to access it, even while charging lol.

I get that all smartphones are supposed to be disposable (which is fucking stupid, but that's a different conversation), but I don't get how so many people tolerate Android phones when they age so poorly, get so bogged down, get fucked up with updates so frequently etc
