I've got to disagree with all of this. the narrative in MP2 seemed to have a tighter focus, since it centered around a few key characters, and the infighting between two factions made for a more engaging story, IMO. in MP, there were a lot of meaningless references (paraphrasing: he was like Kaiser Soze, but worse), and the writing could be a lot more sloppy and/or pretentious.
