Match looks like Damus might not be favored, but in this terrain she has all of the tools to win the match

You only need to watch for 5 seconds to see two things: 1) the helmet readout talking about how phazon is fatal after a brief time and 2) the damage it deals Samus when immediately when she touches it (note: Samus is wearing her armor-suit which is specifically designed to withstand phazon and she still takes damage and recognizes that it's fatal to touch).

Damus is made of phazon, so she is immune to its effects (usually in game phazon heals Damus, but that is locked behind character upgrade). Diablo and Vanille are probably not made of phazon, so not immune to its effects. Traveling in this terrain will lead to some phazon exposure for all of the mercs, which is bad news to Not-Damus. If a fight breaks out near/in phazon, super bad news.

Hype package:

Damus is really, really good. She has a lot of the offensive output that most of us are familiar with from Samus, so I won't go into all of the specifics about her long-range and AOE blaster attacks, but let me tell you a bit about her special feats that make her a really powerful combat merc.

Damus can turn invisible, forcing Samus to change visors to see her - in one of the invisibility modes Samus cannot see her at all but can only track her movement (something about Dark Visor and Echo Visor)

Damus can use phazon in the terrain as a sheid to protect her from attacks:

The stealth/flight/mobility will allow her to kite through the small corridors (she can turn into ball-mode like Samus if necessary), force fights into the air in larger corridors where she can rain from above, and she'll be able to retreat if needed. Vanille is toast; let's say she's weakened and not killed by the phazon (which is a bit generous), Damus can easily initiate a fight in stealth and take her out quickly. Diablo vs Damus probably won't be as quick, but the phazon + stealth/flight put it over the edge in Damus's favor. Kiting is actually Damus's MO in game -> any time she is losing a fight, she'll turn into her incorporeal form and kind of teleport away. Now she can't enter that form in this mercs fight, but the strategy of kiting until a favorable fight can happen is her go-to move against Samus and if she commits to that here then she'll take the fight easily.
