We've seen the disastrous effect mass incarceration has on people and communities and are beginning to consider whether there are more productive and helpful alternatives. It's one thing if the offenders are citizens of this country. It's an entirely different thing when the offenders aren't supposed to be here in the first place, are arrested, and knowingly released back on the streets as illegal aliens (even after committing crimes within "Class 1" such as "Assault with serious bodily injury") without any repercussions. Able to offend over, and over, and over again---as someone who isn't even legally allowed to be in this country in the first place. Waste of resources, waste of money, waste of policing, waste of tax payer dollars, and clearly, a continuous lowering of the standards of America. This is disgusting.
