The articles says that some people think that this doesn't go far enough and think Class 1s should be changed to 364 days instead of a 1 year to prevent marking deportations. That's not actually what is happening.

You're right, I misspoke about that single fact. In theory, they may be deported. But we see all too often many violent offenders are released without getting deported.

My original points still stand. Lowering the standards of America to prevent illegal aliens from being deported. That is specifically the main goal with these new regulations. And no one should honestly be okay with this.

Yes, it's a very big deal.

First, they're illegal. They need to be deported when arrested and found to be an illegal immigrant. Second, we need to restore respect for the laws of America. If you're here as a guest via green card or visa, you need to obey the laws.

We don't need people urinating, defalcating, soliciting, sleeping on the sidewalks, etc. to stay in our country when they are not citizens and do not have a right to be here in the first place.
