If an illegal commits a Class 1 under the changes they will still be marked for deportation. The articles says that some people think that this doesn't go far enough and think Class 1s should be changed to 364 days instead of a 1 year to prevent marking deportations. That's not actually what is happening.

You would know this if you took the time to actually read the article instead of trying to picking out things to attack without context.


You're right, I misspoke about that single fact. In theory, they may be deported. But we see all too often many violent offenders are released without getting deported.

My original points still stand. Lowering the standards of America to prevent illegal aliens from being deported. That is specifically the main goal with these new regulations. And no one should honestly be okay with this.
