Given how low the bar is for SSI, even I could probably qualify for it if I didn't want to work.

I've never looked into SSI that closely, but it is really that easy to get? I never seem to luck out, when it comes to applying for jobs. And any jobs I've ever gotten, seem to be short lived. Or a tease if you count all the times I interview for jobs once, falsely getting my hopes up I did well in the interview for that position, and never hearing back from the places ever again. :(

A friend of mine does get SSI, so sometimes in the back of my mind I've wondered if I should apply for that. I think the only rule if you get such income, is that it limits how many hours you can work. I've sometimes wondered if I should bike for Uber Eats, since I have a bike and I was surprised to learn that you could bike besides drive, if you did Uber Eats deliveries. If I owned a car, I would probably apply for Uber or Lyft to drive for sure.
