Full disclosure: Terra with Trance I basically peg as a half-step below Kefka in magical power. At base she's kinda far away, but while in Trance Terra is very scary. She solos a boss the rest of the party could only barely touch and takes scratch damage in the process.

I also, it needs to be said, have very little respect for Dante's beef relative to his upkeep. Arwings can take a serious licking, Bayonetta headbutts skyscrapers, Archer survives countless impalements, but the Sparda Bros are pretty much garbage as far as beef goes. That ain't their strong suit given we've removed the thing they've always relied on for tanking. Dante gets staggered by a bullet to the dome (even if people will say he's playing it up), and his body reflexively activates Devil Trigger when Nero punches him repeatedly because he can't take the damage the kid is dishing. His DmC counterpart is a much much much MUCH better tank than him. There isn't a single showing of his that can really be painted as tanky without his healing factor. Sorry DC, I just have never bought Dante being beefy and never will until I see him tank without his Wolverine-ish gimmick active. :-/
