Questionable. Tens of thousands of refugees fled for Canada when the loyalists lost the War of Independents, and even amongst those that remained there was strong support for eventual reconciliation with Great Britain.

You're kinda overlooking that more Democrats use Twitter than Republicans and the fact that Democrats also can react viscerally to this in a different way. At face value, the group who you'd expect to be offended would generally be more likely caught, but the nature of the platform and demographics kinda skew that.
