Just finished akashic records. It was a pretty well done if somewhat generic show. Some of the music stood out to me as being quite good and it had a few pretty good moments but for the most part was just decent which is fine by me. Not sure what I'll watch next. Not really in the mood for attack on titan season 2 right now but then nothing else is really standing out to me either. I'm worried about kado which was supposedly amazing top tier stuff until around episode 9 where it all went to complete shit and most of the reviews from people that actually finished the show dropped from a 9-10 to a 3-4. I especially hate ruinous endings more than the average viewer so I'm kinda thinking I should avoid the show entirely.

Kado didn't go to complete shit. The direction changed from intriguing sci-fi, to anime bullshit at that mark which was certainly disappointing, but I still managed to enjoy the show. MetaspoilerDeus ex machina has been around since greek theater, and believe it or not, people say it has intrinsic values despite all the criticisms of it. I think some of it's values shine here. Also, because the direction changed at ep 9 instead of the final episode, I wasn't even angry at the Deus ex machina, but rather impressed and amused by it. I would go as far to say that I don't think I've ever been so amused by such a blatant, shameless asspull.
