Not based on any facts, just more of a gut feeling. I watch a bit too much WWE and think story lines, and New Japan isn't known for doing story lines like that. But if they're going to move into America soon, they might need to start doing those sort of things, just to grab the WWE crowd a bit more, if you know what I'm saying. Omega gets "hurt" and Cody is his replacement at the G1 and goes on to beat Okada in the block, but lose to Ibushi in the finals. This lets Cody get a title shot because he beat the champion (a New Japan thing) a little down the road and gives Ibushi the title shot when he wan. . .at WrestleKingdom Cody goes on to face and lose to Okada in his title shot against him, Okada/Omega III finally happens at the big show before WrestleKingdom, Omega wins and faces Ibushi at WrestleKingdom That's my fantasy booking --- ...
