Got rid of basically everything that made the old Star Treks great in favor of explosions and illogical storylines. It was basic generic action movie # 5058484, just with a Star Trek coat of paint. Yeah thats why a lot of Star Trek fans hated it, but that's not what he was trying to do. It was basically his demo reel to prove that he could direct a Star Wars movie. It's basically all Star Wars with a Trek name on it. So you want Star Wars to be a generic action movie? And you want Star Trek to be a generic action movie?
