I wish abrams had directed it. I know a lot of people did not like the force awakens but i really liked it. Rian johnson directed the new star wars movie. Can't remember who directed rogue one but i didn't really like it.

I love JJ and I really liked he first movie, so I was a bit put off that he didn't direct the last Jedi, but they found a great director anyway and this one looks promising

i really only like jj's TFA. Don't really like his other movies. But TFA might be my favorite SW movie of all time. Have never really heard of rian johnson

I just watched Looper recently and it was pretty good so Rian could be a good choice. I like Force Awakens a lot so I would have been cool with JJ sticking around. I don't want Treverrow doing IX though...

i've only seen the first jj star trek movie and i thought that movie was absolutely terrible

I personally hated his Star Trek movies. Got rid of basically everything that made the old Star Treks great in favor of explosions and illogical storylines. It was basic generic action movie # 5058484, just with a Star Trek coat of paint.

Yeah thats why a lot of Star Trek fans hated it, but that's not what he was trying to do. It was basically his demo reel to prove that he could direct a Star Wars movie. It's basically all Star Wars with a Trek name on it.

So you want Star Wars to be a generic action movie? And you want Star Trek to be a generic action movie? Do you want everything to just be as generic and homogeneous as possible?
