I feel like most of the arwings are not going to be useful in this situation
like, if they were all being piloted in from the nearest convenient location, they could just carpetbomb the terrain and go home. but here, they all start out parked by the turbine with a yard each of space (per the match conventions). they COULD all take off but that's just asking for a massive pileup/crash.
[actually, I am not sure how arwing takeoff works. can an arwing take off straight up into the air, like a helicopter? or is it like an ordinary plane where you need a forward runway, you build up speed, and you take off at an angle? because the latter is kinda bad here]
so I think the optimum is for most of them to get out of their arwings and proceed on foot, and just several of them stick to their arwings. they could figure this out in their pre-battle plan, I assume.
having said all that, ryu3 is an absolute monster and I'm not entirely sure how they beat him. like he already has a boost from dragon hybrid form, and then a 105% stat boost, and then dante genez + devil trigger + permanent invisibility
I mean the terrain is big enough that they could probably slowly cycle out from there.
I will say that while I dont think Star Fox really has animations for how they take off their vertical steering is REALLY swift and doesn't take a lot of room.
