Cue MASSIVE fan outrage and crying, with many swearing off the series forever. That kind of unhealthy obsession with fictional characters, combined with putting strict unrealistic standards on an already unreal person, is what disgusts me about Japanese (and some non-Japanese) otaku. That's where the whole "waifu" thing stops being funny/cute.
