Also, while the results of rolls will often be a factor in a memorable (good or bad) moment, the fact you got a really lucky roll just on its own shouldn't be something to get so hyped about. "I got a randomly very rare dice roll result! Best D&D session EV4R!" It wasn't even like...a dire situation where the one lucky roll saved the day. Just really lame example, sorry. I actually understand this. A lot. 3.5 was my game but the local comic shop, where I've met my friends since moving, played 5e and it was just what kinda got the ball rolling for us. We kept it going. What made it the best game ever was a combination of the what our dwarf yelled (who takes role playing to another level) and beyond that. I was on my phone and didn't really get to give that session its deserved glory when I elaborated. Everyone laughed at the LotR reference. --- Working in a team is great!
