Put your numbers into a calorie calculator and play with that number for a few weeks -- if you're not gaining enough, eat more calories. No one can't put on or lose weight, but a lot of people sure make excuses But beware, you can only put on roughly 1-2lbs of muscle a month (without steroids...), and that's only with regular and progressive exercise.
