| Topic | Daniel Craig official confirms he will return as Bond |
| KujikawaRising 08/16/17 2:13:49 PM #19: | Daniel Craig better be good in this. He was very stale in SPECTRE, which is because he claims he was bored. It's awful that we have to wait until 2019 for another outing, too. Wish they'd still be on the "every two years" trajectory they'd kept since the late 60s. Other franchises manage to do that, or at least it seems that way. Timothy Dalton turned the role down for OHMSS? I thought production had considered him but decided not to because he was "too young." and that they'd cast him when he was older. Which they did. Moore was definitely too old in Octopussy and A View to a Kill - you can just see how much he aged between For Your Eyes Only and those two movies. When he retired, he was pretty outspoken that Bond should be under 50. If they make Bond a woman, the lesbianism would be very strange. As would a woman named James. They can't change the character's name or personality traits, so a female would still be seducing women. That's why the idea appalls me. They should instead have a separate franchise of a dominatrix spy seducing men - an entirely separate one where there's room for crossover. They need to stay true to Fleming and keep the character as envisioned. Also, Idris Elba declined because he didn't want to be remembered as "the black Bond." And he's right - people only wanted him cast because he's black. --- http://i.imgur.com/t3naEGu.jpg I'm BlueCrystalTear, probably at work. ... Copied to Clipboard! |
