Laptops get hot and deteriorate more quickly, and have to slow down their own operation automatically to prevent from overheating

So laptops will generally underperform for their specs

Laptops have the obvious advantage of being portable. Even when you're not traveling, it's trivial to plug it into a tv or something to watch movies
