so religion was involved. I could have swore hitler identified as christian though, history class was a long time ago though.
He was born Catholic (only on his mother's side, as his father was an atheist), and although he never did leave the Church, his personal works reveal that he not only was an atheist, but his Table Talks showed that he would use "Positive Christianity" as a ruse in Germany (seeing how it was majorly atheistic since the 1860's census"), but then completely destroy it all in "Kirchenkampf", or "Church Struggle", in which all true believing Christians were to be killed, all churches were to be destroyed, all Bibles banned, and living in a perpetual atheistic socialist state revolving around eugenics (rather than class warfare).
All this would have happened if Nazi Germany would have won World War 2.
umm... I was always taught in schools one of his parents was a jew, and practically the source of his hatred towards jews. once again though history class was a long time ago for me, and its come to my attention since growing up, sometimes they teach you outright lies.

as said it was a long time ago so maybe my memory is cloudly, but i've been to many schools. one in a state that ranked 6th in the nation while I went to it.
but to be fair schools aren't ranked on if they actually teach facts, just if test scores are good
it still pisses me off they teach columbus discovered america in elementary, then in middle they are like "its more complicated than that" then in High they are like "nah he didn't even step foot in the continental united states" ---
