Nobody wants to even think about nukes being used, but the fact is, Putin keeps reminding us he has them, and this entire war is unpopular and pointless. Nobody thought Putin would actually invade. We have no idea where his head is at or how much power he still commands. Would he give the order? Would anyone follow it if he did? It'd be nice to answer "no" firmly to both questions, but the truth of the matter is, we don't know. If there is a power struggle in the government, anything could happen.

Sooner or later, humanity needs to confront the fact that the existence of weapons that allow a handful of people to end all life on Earth is something that just shouldn't be tolerated.
