There are between 100 and 200k russian soldiers in Ukraine. Russia has a million active personnel and 2 million reservists in total. So about 15% of their armed forces in total against 100% of Ukraine's forces. In comparison, Ukraine's total army is about 170k with 100k reservists. EDIT: Those numbers also don't reflect mercenary groups which Russia has historically relied on as well. For example, supposedly Syrian soldiers are being recruited to fight in Kyiv because they have more experience in urban warfare, but it's unclear how many that might be. --- "History Is Much Like An Endless Waltz.
