I mean, Liara is way physically cuter, but I could see someone preferring Peebee's boisterous impulsiveness over Liara's naive dullness (in the first game) or her tendency towards cold bitchiness (in ME2 and ME3). And in some ways she feels like a better match for Ryder (at least if you play Ryder as being a bit impulsive and sarcastic) than Liara does with Shepard. Ryder's a young and reckless explorer and so is Peebee, whereas the Shepard/Liara relationship is a grizzled war vet with a borderline jailbait young research nerd. Granted, -I- personally prefer Liara (and she's my usual go-to romance interest in ME1-3), but I wouldn't find it insane if someone else liked Peebee more. I don't even find it odd if there are people who like Liam or Cora as love interests.
