Topic	Saying Smith shouldn't be banned from the Oscar beause rapists aren't is silly.

Did they base the Curb Your Enthusiasm episode on that guy? lol I reckon in that case they picked a guy to be made an example of. On top of that it would still be another 14 years after him until they actually did start expelling people in response to Weinstein being a sex offender. The Academy most of all cares about how they look. It's definitely a balancing act of trying to give the right level of punishment while also not rocking the boat too much.
