I've been experimenting with various factors, this is the one that seems to work best

I invite a girl for happy hour at a Thai restaurant. Just exotic enough to be enticing and different, not enough to be weird

But since I live downtown, I tell her to park outside my luxury condo since it'll be easier to find parking and meet me and then we can walk over to the thai restaurant together (it's 2 blocks away)

Once they arrive, ill chat with her a minute outside and tell her I want to make iced tea for later and to come inside

99% of the time girls agree to this. It makes them comfortable with me and hanging out my place early. I have them pick the flavor for the iced tea. Then while the water is boiling, I ask them if they want to start with a drink here.

This is more of a 75/25 split with girls. I'm fine either way. I stay home and drink with the girl, talking while the water boils. If we finish the first drink and she wants another ill give her another and work from there...a few dates things have gone so well we never even end up leaving the luxury condo

But generally, after 1 drink, ill put the iced tea in the freezer so it'll be cold by the time we come back (so I'm already setting up coming back home together) and then we walk to the restaurant.

Happy hour is good, because you can splurge a bit without feeling as guilty. Get the drinks and food flowing. Nothing is too heavy so neither of us feels less sexy after. Honestly, I've just started paying for dates but if a girl insists on paying or splitting I just let her. None of it is that expensive due to happy hour and I can afford it. A typical date is only $60 after tip.

The restaurant is where we spend the most time.

Then I feel it out some more. If I feels she's ready I'll just take her back home for the iced tea (I also offer to add alcohol to it, grey goose is my favorite). If she's not quite ready I take her to the bar/wine bar next door. Rinse and repeat, ill take her to another place after that if I think she needs more time and familiarity.

But I usually try not to go more than 2 bars on top of the happy hour...at some point you're just stringing it out too long. I'd rather just take her home for the iced tea and try to work it from there (and of course letting her leave if she isn't feeling it)

So we'll get home, I'll have her pick a song to play us and I'll pour us drinks (alcohol optional) and keep talking

Eventually that leads to cuddling, then kissing, then you get the idea
