Bullshit. He didn't take a gun to D&Ds head and force them to adopt it. D&D knew how much of the story they'd have to go on and decided to adopt it anyway. They deserve most of the blame, they were the ones who made the TV show, they were the ones who decided to rush the ending.
And nobody forced him to adapt his incomplete series. He willingly chose to let them make the show while obviously not planning to ever actually finish the series.

D&D absolutely and rightfully deserve to be shit on but George isn't some innocent creator who had his work ruined. He gave them an incomplete series (that again, yes, they signed up for) then left after the 4th or 5th season.

GRRM deserves significantly more blame than he gets for the show.
