my brother's pretty deep in rw rhetoric but I don't regularly communicate with him and when he does visit I try to avoid politics because there's no use with how strongly plugged-in he is

I can't imagine he'd give a shit, guns have never been an issue we've been faced with here in a Canadian suburb. I wouldn't be surprised of course if he whines about Trudeau increasing gun restrictions because he's gotta a massive hate-boner for him but other than that *shrug*

but on the other hand he doesn't exactly have a compassionate history with school shootings, to put it very briefly without going over his high school black trench coat days that got him kicked out of one of his many high schools for giving a threatening letter to the librarian
