| s0nicfan 06/02/22 12:54:14 PM #6: | You learn to fix a lot of things yourself. I didn't know how to repair drywall until a towel hanger got pulled out of a wall. I opted to buy a $100 HVAC motherboard and replace it myself rather than pay a contractor. I did the same with the HVAC fan motor blew. Raw parts are often far cheaper than service and are pretty simply to replace. I've replaced sinks, faucets, ceiling fans, showerheads, etc over the years because it's just simpler. I'll even do some basic wiring, although in general electrical work is where I draw the line on doing things myself. --- "History Is Much Like An Endless Waltz.
