| andylt 06/06/22 6:41:07 AM #28: | Mystic Pendulum 46-:ri9 Scroll Stage I really like the first 20 seconds of Mystic, after that it's decent enough. Nice and chill, if not particularly revelatory. Necessary is not for me. Egg is a solid track. I like how cheesy it is (the backing vocals!) and it could grow on me a lot, but 46 is on another level. I wasn't very familiar with XCX tracks before this contest but I've quickly grown very fond of them! 46 takes its time moving around, setting the atmosphere and laying the groundwork for its main melody, but I thoroughly enjoy the whole ride. I like that the main climax hits twice, first more restrained then letting it all out at 3:30 in a beautifully satisfying release. I'm very excited to hear more from this composer! Making me vote against the cheese twice is unfair. Neither of these tracks have any business going out R1!
