Robo sonic is pretty easy and you can beat him extremely fast. The key is essentially to try to speedrun him. You can bounce off the front of his head like 3 times as he stands still, then dodge, then do it again when he stands still. Then spindash through him when he does standing dashes across the floor. I'm pretty sure that's how I did it as a kid. It seems like you can only hit him once but if you do the jump right you can hit him 2-3 times.
