It'd be just as ridiculous if naruto had discovered his mom was a uchiha, he can summon insects and use shadow binding techniques and oh he also has a byakugan and upon getting six paths he also gets the rinnegan. Makes no god damn sense. It makes complete sense in context though. People always give this bit grief but it all adds up once we know the full story.
