Yes well aware. Too many tech companies over hired and scaled too quickly. And now laying all those extra people off now that they are no longer needed. Its terrible how humans with lives and bills to pay are being treated. The lay offs are one thing but many are also pulling out their offers. Coinbase rescinded hundreds of them for example but if you go on Blind there are tons of stories from other companies doing the same. People who quit their jobs expecting to join new ones and already gave notice, suddenly scrambling and out of work. A lot of them on H1Bs and their visas depending on the job so if they cant find another one in time, they need to leave the country. Some fucked up stuff.

I honestly think it should be illegal for people's offers to get rescinded when they're offered a job already. I still think a 2 week notice is a good practice, for like someone said to get a good reference/referral, but yeah if this is the new trend I say get rid of the 2 week notice because it becomes detriment to the workers.
