if he faked a call, have a friend call you, say "oh yea? wow that is a great offer! Amazing!"

then say you got a good deal at 2.5% and tell him to beat it

In today's market, there isn't much in the way of negotiating

Especially for brand new cars.

If you won't pay, they'll find someone else easily enough

just go to another dealer
