So then answer this: Why do you care to tell him he is wrong? What huge offense is he committing by being wrong about it? Why do you feel the need to tell him he is wrong rather than let him believe what he believes and move on?

Dig deep enough and the answer is going to have something to do with insecurity. If someone tells me "you make $7.50 an hour and live in your parents basement" I am not going to go "Actually, I make $500K a year and own 3 houses!", I am just going to ignore them because nothing changes in my life if they believe me or not.


OK, so I could ignore the dude, but if I don't how does it correlate to me being insecure? Simply telling someone they're wrong doesn't make someone insecure.

Also, why would posting the 100% truth about something be "minor annoyance trolling"? That's incredibly wrong.
