I got memed into buying one and I have one piece of advice. Actually make sure you like mechanical keyboards first, particularly the height and feel of the action/type of keys you're going for.

Spent like $150 on one that had a bunch of features that were nifty and I didn't care about (RGB nonsense), and then had the singularly crap function of 1) keys so high i felt like my hands need to hover and tap in a very specific action, and 2) a big fuck off wire that clutters my desk.

So yeah, maybe actually play with one first and see if you like it.

Yeah I'm not even sure if I'd like it, and it's not like I have any problems with my current keyboard. Gonna be doing a lot of coding remotely soon so I thought it might be nice for that, but idk. Might get an $80 Keychron board and test the waters, or just forget about it entirely.
