Because there's plenty of gangster rappers that also mix self awareness and consciousness into their raps now more than ever and it's a phenomenal blend. It makes people from that life more relatable and humanized more now than ever.I don't hear too much of them. And how conscious can you be if you're a gangster. That just make you a philosopher at best and hypocrite at your worst. Even if the person doesn't participate in any illegal activity.
