I get the feeling that the Tories are setting Truss up to take the blame of everything. Like, which PR consultant in their right mind would send her out doing so many interviews right now where in every single case they make her look a lot worse?
But here's the thing, they didn't.

Truss basically hid after doing the budget

Then the interviews she did were local radio, not national interviews like anyone in her position would normally do. They only got attention because they were so awful

She's barely any national exposure since making this dramatically terrible budget.

Also "Take the blame for everything" doesn't really work when

  1. She really is to blame for this rapid problem
  2. The tory MPs are bending over backwards to defend her. Often falling over each other to do it
The collaspe in the pound has been defended as actually Starmers fault, REmainers fault, The Bank of England's fault, a neccessary evil before a great profit and the intended plan all along. Since the MPs haven't recieved consistent marching orders yet about how to defend the policy.

We even heard "The pound is going back up!" as a defense.... after it dropped to a 40 year low, it went back up a little due to the Bank intervention, then plummeted again when Truss doubled down

^ Hey now that's completely unfair!
