Topic	Heard someone try and argue that Evangelion isn't inspired by Christianity

Sort of the same way Xenosaga is. It's like saying the Japanese putting references to Odin and Fenrir in the Final Fantasy games means they show a profound understanding of Norse religion. The Japanese steal surface-level aesthetics from tons of real world religions and philosophies, but rarely ever get them right.
